Electronic Gate Motors

If you have a sliding gate- then you need a slide gate motor. This will open your gate at the press of a button. A single motor is required for this type of application, the motor is installed behind the wall and connected to your electrical supply by means of an underground or surface run cable.

Garage Door Motors

There are different types and styles of garage door. Tip up- a solid door that tips up on arms. Sectional- panels which roll up along runners. Roll-up- the door rolls up into a “sausage” above the door. There are different types of motors for each door. The motor will open the garage door at the push of a button.

Intercoms

Intercom systems have an outside station at the gate and a monitor or handset inside the house. The intercom is like a “door bell” which allows you to communicate with your visitor before pressing a button to allow access.

Alarms

These are custom made kits including an alarm panel (brain), passive infra-red detectors, a key-pad for arming and disarming, a radio receiver to communicate with an armed response company, a siren to sound an alarm, and outdoor motion detectors. They can be made as large and complex as required or as small and user friendly as possible.

New on the market- AJAX WIRELESS ALARM- a totally wireless alarm system. All PIR’s, beams and the Hub are wireless and can be mounted anywhere without any cabling. This system uses your wifi network to communicate between equipment and one can install a separate sim card as a back-up should the wifi be down.

CCTV

This is a system of cameras at strategic points feeding visuals back to a monitor or a recording device (DVR). There are many options with regards to CCTV systems (much depending on your budget). As many cameras as is required, can be linked to the system and the information can be stored or monitored. A simple system for a home including one camera at your gate and a single monitor in your entrance or kitchen area allows you to see who is at your gate and if someone is lurking in the street.

Electric Fencing

Electric fencing is mounted on a perimeter wall or fence. It makes it more difficult for a burglar to climb over the wall. The fence is connected to an energizer (power source) which sends an electrical pulse through the fence at a regular interval. Should someone attempt to get over the fence they would receive a large shock of approx. 8000 Jules which is guaranteed to stop even the most hardened criminal.

Access Control & Biometrics

These are systems which can control the flow of movement- it could be a keypad, tag/ disc reader, booms, electric locks etc

Safety Beams

Safety beams prevent gates or garage doors from closing on a vehicle or a pedestrian. There is legislation that states that any motorized gate that has auto-close activated MUST have a set of safety beams to prevent any accidents.

Electric Locks

These are locks attached to pedestrian gates or driveway gates to add security and allow opening of the gate by pressing a remote control or hardwired button.

Door Closers

This is a mechanical product which will automatically push a door closed.

Remote Controls

We use a rolling code remote control system. The remote controls works in conjunction with a receiver which is connected to either the gate motor, garage door motor, or alarm. When you press a pre-coded button on the remote control the receiver responds by opening the gate/ garage or setting your alarm. This is the SABS and Insurance Institute accepted system. It changes the code of the receiver every time you press the remote control button making it impossible to copy.
